Bought a new 32″ LG LCD TV today, its beautiful, but i wondering if any geeks out there can tell me how to adjust your contrast/sharpness ect from 0%-100% to create the perfect picture.

I purchased a samsung 46in lcd tv that will turn on and has sound. But when it comes to the picture, you can see what ever is being displayed but it does not light up like a tv should? There was no cord that came with the tv so I purchased one online which fits samsung tv’s, could it be just the cord or is there something else wrong like a backlight?

I have an LG LCD T.V and its 720p. The picture is decent but its not great. I don’t have a cable box and I just have regular basic cable. What cables should I get to make the picture better and how do I hook them up? A diagram of some sort would be nice.

I have a Vistron VIS026P 26″ Widescreen LCD TV that I have plugged my Media Centre PC into via it’s VGA socket. This is not an HD television, but it is reported to go up to resolutions of 1360×768.
I am able to reach that resolution at 60hz (with the TV set to 16:9 ratio), but I am getting some picture distortion that results in text looking occasionally blurred and broken up horizontally. At 1280×768 the image is similar to the above, and also at 1280×720 (which bizarrely is what the TV manual says it can reach)
However, at 1024×768 (with the TV set to 4:3 ratio) the image is perfect with clean and crisp text.
Does anybody have any idea what settings I need to change to get the image/text quality as good at the highest resolution? My old 19″ LCD monitor had an ‘Auto’ button that sets the screen to the the correct timing and horizontal/vertical size, but this TV does not.
My PC has an nVidia 7600GT graphics card and I am using the latest official Forceware drivers (93.71).

Any ideas on picture reset for my 46″ Samsung LCD? I’ve got the LE46B554 model and messed up the picture size settings.
I can only remember “stretched” was displayed very briefly on the screen while i was playing with the remote controls, ever since then the pictures appears cut-off and not full.

I recently bought a Samsung LN-T3732H LCD TV. It is 37″ with 5000:1 contrast ratio, 720p resolution. When I first turned it on, the contrast level was all the way up to 100. I read by reducing this, you can extend an LCD’s lifespan. I set it at 50 now, and I was wondering what other LCD TV owners set theirs at. The backlight level is at 10 (highest), and brightness is at 50. Do these settings need to be changed? Thanks.
