How Do You Set Up A Password To Lock My Samsung Ln52a550 Lcd Tv? Not Channels, I Need To Lock The Whole Tv.?

Can I set up the VChip to block everything, including each input? The VChip only blocks based on over-the-air channels I believe, but I would like to have to enter a password to basically turn on the whole TV.

You can set the v-chip so that they can’t watch anything (it doesn’t turn the power off but they’ll get a black screen) by selecting “all” and the G category in the v chip menu and locking them. Full instructions start on page 49 of the manual.
I don’t believe you can shut-off the inputs with the V chip but your dvd player can be locked. Go into the main menu and it should be under “parental locks” or something similar. Then lock out all the G and up movies. Your vcr doesn’t have a parent lock.
